INTRO

Hi, I’m Desiree! I am so glad that you made it here on my page! First, I would like to thank you for making it this far and considering me as your Photographer. Second, I don’t want to “just” be your Photographer. I want to be the person you trust enough to capture your most precious and intimate moments. Everything from a fun couples date session, to an engagement, and eventually (hopefully) your wedding day! Even when you decide to start a family and all the milestone that follow. I want to be there for it all, capturing those moments in time and giving you something that will be treasured forever not only for you but for all the generations that will come after you.

MY STYLE

What is my style? I can’t think of a single word that would describe my “style” but my approach to photography is this: I aim to create beautiful, timeless photos that will never go out of style no matter the trends, using a combination of editorial and documentary style images. Capturing authentic moments between couples is the key to great storytelling, so I keep my sessions fun and playful while also throwing in some more traditional poses in between. It’s my goal to make you feel comfortable and confident in front of my camera. As far as editing, I keep my editing to a minimum while emphasizing the natural colors, moods, and emotions of the day. As a lover of beauty, romance, and connection, it is my primary goal to embody all of that when capturing YOUR love story.

BIO

Let me tell you a little bit about myself outside photography! I am a 28 year old wife and dog-mom who was born and raised in Kansas. I graduated Goshen College in 2018 with my bachelors degree in Business and moved back to Kansas. Currently, I am working full time in a financial services office which I really enjoy. So for now, photography is part time but it is my goal to be able to go full time in the future!

My interest in Photography began in high school and continued into college. But then “adulthood” happened and I kind of neglected it for several years. But then I got inspired after being asked to take some pictures for someone and decided that this was something that I could seriously pursue. Since then, I’ve invested in better equipment and really dove into learning everything I could. I’ve joined photography groups, listen to podcasts, and watch YouTube videos. Photography is one of those fields where the learning never stops and I continue to look for ways to grow, both technically and creatively.

Another passion of mine is travel. So far, I have had the wonderful opportunity to travel internationally including spending a semester in Peru, studying business in Spain, walking the Camino de Santiago, along with traveling with friends. My most recent adventure was getting married in India! My husband’s family couldn’t be there for our wedding in Kansas, so they planned a traditional Indian wedding for us which was SO BEAUTIFUL and I can’t believe I got to experience that. It is an absolute dream of mine to be able to incorporate my love of travel with my love of photography somehow. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be booking sessions/weddings all over the world!
